Abstract:

Currently eight flying altimeters offer an overall very good data quality. We have 28 years of past data (since Topex-ERS1) to continue improving data quality.
During the year 2020, as recommended during OSTST 2019, the GDR-F Standard have been deployed on Saral and Jason-3 missions. Within the next months, Topex/Poseidon will also be released in this standard. This will ensure a quite homogenous processing baseline with Sentinel-6, and coming Swot Nadir thanks to coordination between agencies.
Jason-2 GDR-F reprocessing is scheduled to complete by the end of 2021, with Jason-1 GDR-F reprocessing to be performed thereafter.
