Abstract:

For more than twenty years, Topex/Poseidon, Jason-1 and OSTM/Jason-2 mission outreach have been developed both sides of the Atlantic. Cryosat, Saral, and Sentinel-3, Jason-3, and in the very near future now Jason-CS… are in turn opening new avenues for outreach and applications, and must be highlighted. Moreover, need for outreach is more than ever present: with the continuity of the missions in discussion, explaining what ocean surface topography is all about could help the decision. Future brand-new missions, such as SWOT are also in need of outreach, to detail their characteristics to data users, and to a broader public, including decision-makers.

We proposed in 2016 to use all these possibilities to continue to expand outreach, be it educational & public outreach, or application outreach, to new publics, and new subjects. For that, we will build upon existing material and new Investigators works, develop new link lists, and also new material when none is available.
A few highlight will be shown.
