Session: Precision Orbit Determination

Presentation type: Oral

The satellite Sentinel-3B has just been added in the DORIS processing chain of the CNES/CLS Analysis Center. We now use body and solar array quaternions for Jason-2 and 3 satellites. A Precise Orbit Determination (POD) status for the two Sentinel-3 and Jason (2&3) missions is presented. We give statistical results such as one per revolution empirical acceleration amplitudes and orbit residuals. We give also some comparisons to the CNES precise orbit used for altimetry and to GPS-only orbits contributing to the Copernicus POD Quality Working Group of Sentinel. We give also external validation of our orbits as independent SLR measurements processing as well the use of altimeter crossovers for Jason satellites.
