Abstract:
The first Sentinel-6 ocean-monitoring satellite “Michael Freilich” is scheduled for launch from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on 10 November. The mission will follow TOPEX and the Jason-series of "reference altimeter missions". We aim at presenting to the OSTST community the calibration and validation plan defined by the five Agencies: ESA, NASA/JPL, NOAA, CNES and EUMETSAT. This presentation will include a high-level overview of the main planned activities, as well as information of the key milestones and events.
