Abstract:
The currently flying constellation of 7 altimeter missions (CryoSat-2, HY-2A, Saral/AltiKa, Jason-3, Sentinel-3A/B, HY-2B) monitored by the CNES POD team is homogeneously processed with up-to-date orbits in the CNES POE-F standards. The past altimeter missions were the focus of 2020, with a reprocessing of the Jason-2/OSTM and Envisat orbits in the last POE-F standards.
Following the launch of the HY-2C satellite on September 21, 2020, further evolutions of the processing chains were undertaken to estimate this new orbit, as well as getting ready for the upcoming launch of the Sentinel-6A satellite, planned in November this year.
This paper gives a short status of the orbital performances of the Jason-3 and Sentinel-3 POE-F orbits. Based on the lessons learned from our multi-technique and multi-mission approaches, an overview of some recent observations from the POD group will also be presented.
